Senior Ruthie Kahl, a participant in Blackburn's Mueller Scholarship program, visited Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, England."Our first stop was the Ashmolean Museum. I truly wanted to live there. We went with the Egypt Center of Swansea University so we got our own personal tour of the largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts. I felt awesome because I knew almost everything she talked about in the tour thanks to my art history classes!
The museum I can hardly put into words; I was almost moved to tears. Their collection of Mesopotamia, Mycenaean, Greek, and Roman sculptures and artifacts felt endless. Then I went upstairs to view the modern art. Rodin, Degas, even Lucian Freud were all there. I could spend a whole week in there and still not be able to completely take in everything."
