Seminar for the 2012 Spring semester is under way with students creating in many different mediums, among those being print-making, digital and traditional photography, image weaving, gel transfers, graphic design, digital painting, ceramics, and traditional illustration.
This semester saw a change in the work schedule for Sophomore Review and Junior and Senior Seminar; students are required to bring in 3 new pieces every week while continuing to work on previously presented artwork. The new work method allows students to pick and choose from a pool of artwork to decide their final 7 pieces for the Seminar Art Show at the end of the semester.
Megan Adamski, sophomore, takes old and new family photos and splices them to create pieces with depth using high contrast and a strong vertical composition (pictured above).
Adrienne Pisano, senior, is composing photographs using HDR toning to pair interesting visuals with surreal color, texture, and light sources.
Amanda Johnston, junior, creates spec work online for companies looking for freelance graphic design talent. Pictured below is the cover of a brochure for a international company that supplies solar power to different businesses.
