The works in this exhibition represent the artist’s direct experience and interpretation of aspects of the Western landscape. They illustrate the evolvement of drawn images through developmental stages, from preliminary observational studies to more densely worked and layered mixed-media translations.
Joe McFarlane is an Associate Professor of Art at Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey, Illinois. He has exhibited in numerous international, national, and regional juried and invitational exhibitions, including Boston Printmakers International, Bradley Prints Biennial, Pacific States Printmaking Exhibitions, and Potsdam Prints National.
A reception for the artist will be held Friday, October 19 from 5-8pm in the VAC Gallery lobby.
