The exhibition will open 9/3 and run through 9/22 with an opening reception on 9/3 5:30-8pm.
Ciaccio writes about his work, "The paintings always emphasize the figure, usually two women or a man and woman, and explore issues of wholeness and completeness, as well as what is revealed an concealed, open and closed. It’s always ambiguous, because I believe that this ambiguity heightens the experience. Jasper Fforde said that the reader does all the work in his novels, because they use their imagination and search for meaning. I’ve always been inclined to this approach myself, because as a painter I can never be truer to the viewers/spectators that when I make a place in my work for their own thoughts and feelings."
